MBIC Clubhouse is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to assist with our new sales initiative, designed to generate vital funds for our programs. This role involves managing and selling a variety of items at significantly discounted prices, creating an opportunity for the community to access valuable goods while supporting our mission. The funds raised will directly contribute to the continued support and development of our diverse membership, including individuals living with disabilities and cognitive challenges.
Key Responsibilities
As a volunteer in sales and merchandising, you will:
- Prepare and organize items for sale, setting up a designated area within our facility that functions as a makeshift store.
- Post items for sale in online marketplaces, local Facebook groups, and community boards to reach a broad audience.
- Handle the pricing and listing of goods, ensuring they are attractive to potential buyers while generating necessary funds for MBIC.
- Optionally, manage sales directly from our location, providing customer service and managing transactions for visitors.
Ideal Volunteer Profile
We're looking for volunteers who are:
- Skilled in retail, sales, or marketing, with the ability to effectively organize goods and create appealing listings.
- Comfortable with online platforms and social media, able to navigate various sites to post items for sale.
- Able to commit to on-site work for organizing and selling, with potential opportunities to assist remotely with online listings.
- Enthusiastic about generating community engagement through sales, helping to drive the financial goals of our programs.
