Hi! We finally received the Permit Approval and will start work around end of June. It delayed everything but are thankful that it finally went through, we are looking for groups of volunteers, people who need community service hours for school. We have some tools, if you have some you can bring them in too!
We have some of the materials but need to ask more places if they can donated some more materials, every little bit helps! It's a wooden shed and carport so beams and plywood are the main things we need! If you know anyone I can contact please let me know!
We finally got enough funding to rent out a dumpster for a few days, we want to get the groups organized before we start the demo work, because once you start the demo the construction part has to be done pretty soon thereafter. We have one group that can be here one day, but we need at least 3-5 days worth of groups and people in order to begin the process.
In the meantime, we have had groups volunteer like the ARC of Washington County (seen here with me!) and a few other community volunteers and we are very appreciative of their time and dedication!
We have never done this kind of work before and if you have expertise in this area, please reach out! I am so happy and appreciative of the volunteers we have found on VolunteerMatch that have helped both virtually and on-site. Without the volunteers, we would not be here! Even if you don't work with us, I want to say THANK YOU

Waiting on Permit Approval to begin work, should be coming soon.
We have a Youth Garden and Bike Repair Program that will be starting soon. We are going to build a carport and shed to house the supplies and materials and to have a place for them to eat the meals we will be providing.
If you have community service / volunteer hours you need to do, this is a great opportunity o do them!
If you have a large group that you want to have over to do something for 1-5 days, we can accommodate your group.
We have shovels, pick axe, hammers.

*Fill 5-8 blessing boxes food & hygiene products weekly (thousands of items) and at our table.

*We have given away over 150 chicken deli sandwiches, 100 beef empanadas, 400 pieces of fried chicken to not only the neighborhood but also to the firefighters & police officers.
*We had a Summer Youth Garden Program but because of lack of funds & supplies, we only had 3 kids
*We designed & made our own website using Wordpress & have posted multiple tiktok videos & facebook posts as well as LinkedIn
We NEED you!
*To help at the social media level.
*To volunteer with our fundraising efforts. We have LOTS / TONS of items that we can use for fundraising but no volunteers to help post online or door to door.
*To make the Youth Garden Program Grow in 2 folds
→ online & on-site, so they can learn about the plants & also do the planting vegetables only to eat at the end.
→ To help us plan logistics of feeding the kids/teens every session and graduation where they get a box of food including their own veggies and a certificate.
→ Have a snack before or after each session. So lots of logistics to figure out for that.
→ We need people to work outside to clear out more space for the youth garden & make a sheltered picnic area.
