If you want to have fun this summer and make a positive impact on the lives of San Francisco youth, come join us at Horizons! We are looking for dedicated high school volunteers to assist with our Horizons Summer Program. Responsibilities include facilitating fun games and activities, supervising students, and actively assisting teachers in the classroom.
Volunteers have the chance to gain leadership/mentorship experience, build impactful relationships with youth and staff, and can join in on the field trips that the students partake in!

Volunteers support our goal of holistically uplifting our students through providing additional classroom assistance and giving 1-on-1 support to our students. Through their dedication of time, skills, and passion for educational equity, volunteers enhance our program by making important connections with our students that impact them for a lifetime.

Description

During the summer, Horizons at SFFS operates a six-week learning and enrichment program for students who attend K-8 public schools in the Mission District. A summer at Horizons combines academic instruction, enrichment activities, swimming classes, and social-emotional support to give students a well-rounded experience and expose them to a variety of new interests and activities.
