Do you enjoy meeting new people and hanging out with an international crowd?

Going to the pub is an incredible way to share local culture and facilitate cultural exchange. Bringing guests into historic neighborhoods, sharing the backgrounds on those neighborhoods and pubs, supporting local businesses, and having a few drinks together, is what makes this opportunity so unique!

HI Boston is looking for volunteers to take travelers from around the world to local bars and pubs to share in the nightlife and embrace the local Boston pub culture. We can work with your schedule!

Volunteers must be 21+ and have a valid ID.

If you have a friend that wants to volunteer we can set it up to where you lead the event together. What could be better? Hanging out with your friend, volunteering and meeting cool people from
around the world!

The benefits of volunteering with HI USA include:

  • Meet new people from all over the world, including travelers, staff, and fellow volunteers
  • Work to increase understanding and tolerance by helping people break down cultural barriers
  • Help travelers to the community have a great travel experience
  • Build skills in public speaking, foreign languages, intercultural communication and more!
  • Participate in appreciation events for local volunteers
  • Receive personal and professional development opportunities
  • Earn HI USA membership and dorm overnights at HI USA hostels
