We're seeking a volunteer to assist us in securing funding for the programming and initiatives of our non-profit organization. Our organization operates under five key pillars: family, mindset, wealth, business, and real estate, aiming to empower individuals and communities through education and support in these areas.

Requirements

  • Strong research skills and the ability to navigate grant databases and resources effectively.
  • Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to draft a compelling grant template and narrative.
Deliverables Volunteer would submit a grant research spreadsheet that is for all five of our pillars, (family, mindset, wealth, business and real estate) and submit a grant template that could be used when submitting for the grants.

Increased Funding: By identifying and securing grants that align with our organization's mission and focus areas, the volunteer can help ensure a steady stream of funding to support our programming and initiatives. This financial support enables our organization to expand its reach, develop new initiatives, and better serve our target beneficiaries.

Description

What was initially created as a stand-alone event in 2017, Rebuild the Hood has now morphed into a full-service organization that is dedicated to the economic growth and sustainability of distressed and impoverished neighborhoods in the Chicagoland area. Since 2020, Rebuild the Hood has accomplished the following:

  • Awarded over 75K to black owned businesses that had been affected by COVID19 and civil unrest
  • Serviced over 150+ individuals with our Financial Literacy and Real Estate programs
