Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, coordinate, and execute various events tailored to seniors, including cultural outings, sports events, movie screenings, and leisure activities at local parks and senior centers.
• Forge and nurture relationships with performing arts venues, sports teams, movie theaters, and other entities to secure in-kind donations of event tickets and other opportunities for seniors.
• Collaborate closely with the Golden Nomads program team to ensure event offerings are diverse, accessible, and aligned with the interests and needs of seniors.
• Assist with event logistics, including scheduling, transportation, accessibility, and on-site coordination, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all participants.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for program improvement based on participant responses and observed outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for building relationships with community partners and participants.
• Creativity in event planning, with a keen eye for detail to make each event memorable and inclusive.
• A genuine passion for working with seniors and a commitment to enhancing their quality of life through social and cultural engagement.
• Prior experience in event coordination or volunteer work with seniors is a plus but optional.
