A little about our organization: Companis is a nonprofit that matches skilled volunteer workers with other nonprofits in need. We are the safety net for the safety nets. We work with small nonprofits serving our most vulnerable neighbors and feel honored to make these connections.
Current Need: A senior center on Camano Island is looking for compassionate volunteers to assist with a Tuesday dementia-care respite program. This is a wonderful opportunity to give back in our community to folks who come to the center for socialization, activity, interaction, and fun! This role would be on Tuesdays from 9:30am-2:30pm and you would have an invaluable experience working with seniors with early to moderate dementia diagnoses. This is an uplifting and fun group who are active, live in the moment, and spend some time at the center each week to stay connected and social. All programming and safety is organized by staff - you will join as a companion and to build relationships with participants.
For the volunteer: Companis supports prospective volunteers by finding the ideal fit for their time, energy, skills, and interests. We pride ourselves in working to ask the right questions and listen deeply to determine the best fit for all involved.
Reach out today to start a conversation! We would love to get to know you and connect you to partners in our community.

Mission Statement
To make our community healthier, safer, and more just by fostering skilled volunteer service. We build relationships and bridge the gap so that nonprofits can succeed in delivering vital services with the help of a Companis Worker.
Description
Companis has worked in Snohomish and King counties for nearly 30 years to match passionate volunteers with local nonprofit agencies in need. We ask the right questions and listen deeply to determine the right fit for both volunteer and agency.
As part of the Companis placement, you will meet with a Companis Program Manager to share your interests, skill sets, availability, and experience. The program manager will share additional information about available roles, local nonprofit agencies, and Companis expectations and training. Companis' goal is to find the right match for both our volunteer worker and the agency to ensure that you are supported the entire way!
