Since the 1970s, Camp Parkview has been a haven of outdoor recreation, arts, and community for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DDs). Nestled in the picturesque landscape of Vashon Island, Washington, we provide a safe and inclusive environment where campers aged 18 to 75 can thrive.
At Camp Parkview, we believe in the transformative power of community and connection. Our diverse range of activities includes swimming, canoeing in the Puget Sound, dance classes, yoga sessions, arts and crafts, fine arts workshops, live band performances, DJ sets, and so much more. With each activity, campers and volunteers alike discover new passions and forge lifelong friendships.
Our dedicated team of volunteers plays a vital role in creating unforgettable experiences for our campers. No prior experience is necessary-just bring a positive attitude, a willingness to step outside your comfort zone, and a heart full of compassion. As a counselor at Camp Parkview, you'll have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others while having the time of your life.
Join us for a week of laughter, learning, and limitless possibilities. Become part of the Camp Parkview family and experience the joy of making a difference. Together, we create memories that last a lifetime.
Watch our video to learn more about the rich history and impact of our program, and discover why Camp Parkview is more than just a camp-it's a community where everyone belongs.

Description
Parkview Services began in 1967 with the innovative vision of the Chivers family. Dr. Norman Chivers and his wife Stella were the parents of a child with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDDs), and they wanted to create a safe, healthy, community-based housing option for their child and others like him.
Today Parkview has seven distinct programs: Parkview Supported Living Services, The Group Home, The Affordable Housing Program, Camp Parkview, Mortgage Default Program, Homeownership Program, and Vibrant Palette Arts Center.
