Join us for our annual Dash4Dignity 5K Race, an event dedicated to raising awareness and support for our anti-trafficking efforts and empowering our community. We're on the hunt for a volunteer photographer who can capture the energy, effort, and emotion of this special day.

About the Role:

As our volunteer photographer, you'll be our eyes on the ground, tasked with documenting the day's events-from the starting line's burst of energy to the post-race celebrations. Your photos will play a crucial role in telling the story of Dash4Dignity, showcasing the community's spirit, and highlighting the cause at the heart of the event.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capturing dynamic shots of the race, including start and finish line moments, runners in action, and crowd support.
  • Photographing key moments during the opening ceremony and any post-race activities.
  • Working with our team to identify any specific photo opportunities or subjects.
  • Providing digital copies of photos for use in our post-event communication, social media, and future promotional materials.

We're Looking for Someone Who:

  • Has experience with event photography and a good understanding of photographic composition and editing.
  • Owns their own photography equipment and has familiarity with photo editing software.
  • Is available to be on-site from approximately 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM on June 21, 2025.
  • Is enthusiastic about supporting a great cause and capturing the essence of community events.

Volunteer Benefits:

  • Opportunity to add a high-profile community event to your portfolio.
  • Recognition for your contribution on our website and social media platforms.
  • The joy of knowing your talents helped amplify a vital cause.

How to Apply:

If you're interested in volunteering as a photographer for our Dash4Dignity 5K Race, please send an email to volunteer@cityofrefugebaltimore.org with a brief introduction, a link to your portfolio or examples of previous event photography, and any questions you may have about the role.
