Movie Night Volunteer Recruitment
About Us:
The Guadalupe River Park Conservancy is in partnership with CultureNight Market to host not one, but two upcoming outdoor movie nights!
Come volunteer AND participate as we'll have more than 30 vendors, several food trucks, a soccer tournament with cash prize, inflatables, and live musical performances. This'll be a great opportunity to learn behind the scenes of event planning, to have exposure to different organizations, to give back a bit of your time to your community, and a chance to complete any required service hours.
We are looking for 6 enthusiastic volunteers! For both Movie Nights, we are looking for 6 per event, 3 per shift.
When: May 11, 2024
Where: Arena Green East - 340 W St John St. San Jose Ca 95110
Shifts Available:
11am-5pm: 5 Volunteers needed
5pm-11pm: 5 Volunteers needed
Requirements:
- Volunteers should be punctual and committed to fulfilling their duties for the entire duration of their shift. Reliability is crucial for ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and that the event runs smoothly.
- Volunteers must have the physical capacity to lift up to 30 pounds such as setting up equipment, moving furniture, and possibly standing for long periods.
- Volunteers should be able to work effectively as part of a team and communicate with other volunteers to ensure the success of the event.
- Volunteers must be at least 15 years and older to volunteer.
- Volunteers must be able to provide themselves transportation for start and end of shift.

Description
The Guadalupe River Park Conservancy provides community leadership for the development and active use of the Guadalupe River Park & Gardens through education, advocacy and stewardship. Past efforts by the Conservancy contributed to collaboration among government agencies and community interest groups seeking to solve problems related to the Guadalupe River flood control project. The Conservancy is continually involved in completing the master plans for both the park and gardens, creating educational programs, promoting awareness of the Park & Gardens, and developing membership and volunteer opportunities to increase public support and involvement.
