A village is not a place. It's a community made up of neighbors and friends. Rivers East Village is seeking volunteers in Milwaukie, Oak Grove, Gladstone and all points in between.

As a coalition of volunteers we provide a wide range of services to provide our older neighbors and adults living with disabilities more freedom to enjoy life on their own terms.

We offer a wide-range of volunteer opportunities where volunteers choose what they do and when they want to do it.

Rivers East Village is p art of the growing, nationwide grassroots network, we have access to resources and tools that strengthen our ability to serve our older neighbors and adults living with disabilites. Although the village "model" is different from one community to the next, they are all designed to provide older adults with the option of "aging in place" - without having to rely on friends and family for help with routine tasks or transportation needs.

As a program of Villages NW, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization. As an all-volunteer organization with no permanent paid staff, allows us to keep membership fees as low as possible while covering operational expenses.
