CHM Bible Theatre is seeking a passionate and creative Theater Assistant Director to support the Artistic Director in the planning, coordination, and execution of theatrical productions and programs. The Theater Assistant Director will work closely with the Artistic Director and production team to assist in all aspects of production, including casting, rehearsals, set design, staging, and performance coordination. This individual will play a key role in helping to bring our artistic vision to life on stage.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with the Acting and Coach Director and production team to develop and implement artistic vision, concepts, and themes for theatrical productions.
2. Assist with casting, auditions, and talent recruitment, including organizing audition schedules, coordinating callbacks, and facilitating casting decisions.
3. Support the Acting and Coach Director in conducting rehearsals, blocking scenes, coaching actors, and providing feedback to performers to ensure artistic excellence.
4. Assist with set design, construction, and decoration, working with the production team to create immersive and visually stunning theatrical environments.
5. Coordinate technical aspects of productions, including sound, lighting, costumes, props, and special effects, to enhance the overall theatrical experience.
6. Assist with stage management duties, including cueing actors, managing backstage operations, and ensuring smooth transitions between scenes and acts.
7. Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to promote productions through various channels, including social media, press releases, and promotional materials.
8. Provide administrative support to the Acting and Coach Director, including scheduling meetings, coordinating production calendars, and managing production budgets.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Theater Arts, Performing Arts, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in theater production, directing, or stage management.
