ORGANIZATION: Ten Lives Cat Rescue

We are seeking a volunteer Veterinary Coordinator to join our leadership team. The Veterinary Coordinator is responsible for organizing veterinary services for our foster-based rescue. Annually, we rescue and provide services to approximately 325 foster cats. This role is remote and can be done from the comfort of your home!

Duties

  • Manage appointment approval requests according to rescue guidelines
  • Coordinate spay/neuter appointments for foster cats
  • Provide veterinary checklists to volunteer fosters
Qualifications
  • Experience with veterinary medicine and/or the ability to learn rescue protocols
  • Access to computer and cell phone
  • Ability to respond to emails within 48 hours
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

Ten Lives Cat Rescue is committed to saving homeless, abused, and abandoned cats by providing veterinary care, rehabilitation services, and then placing them into loving adoptive homes. We are dedicated to giving a second chance to those who have been forgotten: seniors, the physically and emotionally scarred, the behaviorally challenged, and those who need critical medical care. Along with our immediate mission to rescue cats, Ten Lives is dedicated to educating communities about cat overpopulation and inspiring change.

Description

Ten Lives Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization located in Rhode Island. We are dedicated to providing dignity to cats in our community while reducing the stray cat population and inspiring change. Ten Lives was founded in 2018 and has provided vital services to more than 2,000 cats and facilitated nearly 1,400 adoptions. Our foster-based program is 100% volunteer-powered and community supported. All of our vital life-saving funds come from generous supporters who believe in our mission statement.
