Want to laugh until your face hurts? Want to make a meaningful difference in your community? Come volunteer at The Phoenix Residence and make a lasting impression on the disability community!
Sign up to volunteer weekly or one-time - whatever works best for you! Do you have a special talent? Please share that with us! Maybe you’re an art teacher, have a musical background, love cooking, or you have a green thumb-whatever your talent may be, we invite you to become part of our volunteer team. We will work with you to develop a position that works for you!
Opportunities Could Include:
- Assisting in fundraising events-lend us a hand with our annual Golf Tournament, Plant Sale, or Made in the Shade 5K Walk!
- Lead a craft project
- Making dinner for the home
- Bringing folks out to a new movie
- Attending a sports game
- Cleaning up the yard, planting flowers this spring, or raking leaves in the fall
- Decorating the house for an upcoming holiday
- Baking cookies to thank the staff
- Leading a baking class, book club, or a yoga class
- Teaching a class on how to use an iPad or cell phone
- Hosting a class about how to make beer or wine
- Starting a coffee club
Whatever you are interested in, there’s a spot for you! This is an excellent opportunity to give back to the community, gain new skills, and make new friends. Volunteer as little or as much as you’d like!

Mission Statement
The Phoenix Residence, Inc. is dedicated to the development of quality living experiences for persons with developmental and physical disabilities. Each service and program strives for safety, independence, and quality of care in a home atmosphere through respect and dignity for one another.
Description
- The Phoenix Residence, Inc. is a teaching and training program that helps individuals develop skills in order to live with as much independence and self-determination as possible.
- We have been a provider of residential services for nearly 40 years. The Phoenix Residence owns and operates 19 homes in the St. Paul metro area. We have homes located in St. Paul, Maplewood, Roseville, Arden Hills, Mounds View, White Bear Lake, Vadnais Heights, Newport, Little Canada, and Apple Valley.
- The homes have either have four or six people living in them, based on the license of that particular home. The majority of people served within the organization are 18 and older, but a couple of the homes are licensed to serve persons 16 and older.
- We provide teaching and training in areas of activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene). money management skills, community integration, and social skills.
