ConnectPlus is seeking one dedicated web designer to create a brand-new website for our organization! As a website designer, you'll have complete freedom to work on your own schedule, and creative liberty to design a product that you really love (and can put on a portfolio) -- all while supporting the good cause of free English language tutoring for students in China!
Requirements:
- Familiarity with Squarespace/Wix or another other site building service
- No coding/HTML/CSS/JS experience necessary
- Desire to work on a flexible timeline for a creative and rapidly growing nonprofit organization!
Time commitment:
Project-based (one large website design project) with estimated completion time of 30 hours. No set timeline for project, so commitment may vary from 1-5 hours/week depending on preferences. Work hours are entirely flexible and up to you!

Mission Statement
ConnectPlus aims to make English education accessible worldwide through the provision of free, interactive English lessons to all who desire it. Through interaction with a network of purely volunteer tutors who aim to create equitable, immersive, and approachable class environments, students can learn practical English not taught in traditional classrooms, and in doing so are empowered in more positively contributing to the wellbeing of their communities and the world as a whole.
Description
ConnectPlus is a 501(c)3 nonprofit based in Virginia in the United States, founded in March 2020 by a group of high school and college students. We seek to make high-quality English education easily accessible to all. Since 2020, ConnectPlus has recruited 500+ tutors worldwide and taught 600+ students across China, logging 10,000+ hours of English instruction.
HSE is ConnectPlus' English-tutoring branch. HSE is happy to provide verification of volunteer hours (for community service requirements), volunteer certificates, and recommendations. Volunteering experiences with HSE can also be submitted as part of resumes for college and job applications.
