From assisting travelers to providing comfort with our ATD certified therapy dogs, our Ambassadors and PIT Paws play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and providing top notch customer service at Pittsburgh International Airport.

Qualifications to be a PIT Ambassador
You have a passion for customer service and helping people.
You’re a natural problem solver.
You can commit to 12 hours of service per month.
Familiarity with airports and travel/Aviation Enthusiast.
Qualifications to be part of the PIT PAWS Crew:
All teams must be certified by the Alliance of Therapy Dogs (ATD).
Dogs must be 1 year of age.
You can commit to 2 visits per month.
Handlers must be passionate about helping people.
Dogs must be clean and groomed.
Show proof of up-to-date vaccinations for the dogs.
All volunteers must complete a background check.

To hellp relieve the stress and enhance the traveling experience for international visitors to Pittsburgh, members of the U.S. Military and their families, and any traveler or guest who needs assistance.
Description
Pittsburgh International Airport Ambassadors are volunteers from the community who donate their time to provide courteous and friendly assistance and provide a warm welcome to visitors. Ambassadors can make things simple in a busy airport. Ambassadors are what Pittsburgh and Southwestern Pennsylvania are all about.
- Meet and greet passengers and visitors
- Help passengers and visitors by directing them to the appropriate personnel
- Answer questions and provide information about Pittsburgh and Southwestern Pennsylvania
- Serve as translators in special circumstances
- Assist travelers with special needs
