Potential Duties:
During an emergency:
- Augment staff shortages at medical or emergency facilities
- Assist with the distribution or dispensing of pharmaceuticals
- Assist Southern Nevada Health District with surveillance and notification
- Assist with immunization clinics, education, infectious disease outbreak support, and other duties
- Provide health and preparedness education at community events
- Provide educational presentations on special health topics
- Promote immunization, preparedness, and other public health campaigns
- Staff first aid stations at community events
- Augment staffing at Southern Nevada Health District offices
- Provide health screenings at community events

Mission Statement
The mission of the Medical Reserve Corps of Southern Nevada is to assist the Southern Nevada Health District and partner agencies in improving the public health of the citizens of Clark County by utilizing pre-identified public health, medical and other volunteers.
Description
The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a community-based, civilian volunteer program that helps build the public health infrastructure of communities nationwide. Each MRC unit is organized and trained to address a wide range of challenges from public health education to disaster response.
The MRC of SO NV is currently recruiting licensed/certified healthcare/veterinary professionals, non-medical support personnel, and public health professionals.
