Job Overview:
As the Email Marketing Coordinagtor for the Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA), you will be instrumental in developing and executing effective email marketing campaigns for the Veteran Project Manager Mentor Alliance (VPMMA). Your role includes crafting engaging email content, managing email lists, monitoring campaign performance, and optimizing email strategies to drive engagement and support the organization's goals. You will be crucial in expanding VPMMA's reach, nurturing relationships, and fostering a strong community of service members, veterans, and military spouses in project management through email communication.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute email marketing campaigns that align with VPMMA's objectives, including promoting events, sharing updates, and driving engagement with the community.
Create engaging and compelling email content, including newsletters, event invitations, announcements, and other communications, to effectively communicate VPMMA's mission and initiatives.
Manage VPMMA's email marketing platform, including maintaining email lists, segmenting audiences, and scheduling email sends.
Monitor and analyze email campaign performance, including open rates, click-through rates, and conversions, to identify trends and insights for improving engagement and campaign effectiveness.
Conducted A/B testing and implemented strategies to optimize email performance, such as subject line testing, content variations, and layout designs.
Ensure compliance with email marketing best practices, anti-spam regulations, and data privacy policies to protect recipients' information and maintain email deliverability.
Collaborate with the Marketing team to align email marketing strategies with other initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and branding across channels.
Coordinate with other volunteer team members, including the Content Creators and Graphic Designers, to gather assets and information for email campaigns.
Stay current with email marketing trends, best practices, and new technologies relevant to VPMMA's target audience.
Regularly report on email campaign metrics, performance, and insights to the Volunteer Coordinator and the Marketing team.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong knowledge and experience in email marketing strategies, techniques, and best practices.
Proficiency in using email marketing platforms (e.g., MailChimp, Constant Contact) to create, manage, and analyze campaigns.
Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging and persuasive email content.
Creative thinking and ability to tailor email messaging to different target audiences and goals.
Analytical mindset and ability to interpret email metrics and data to optimize campaigns.
Attention to detail to ensure emails are error-free, visually appealing, and on-brand.
Familiarity with email deliverability factors, anti-spam regulations, and data privacy policies.
Strong organizational and time management skills to simultaneously meet deadlines and manage multiple email campaigns.
Collaboration skills and working effectively with team members in a remote environment.

Description
In December 2017 Eric "Doc" Wright and Joe Pusz, PMO Joe started a proof of concept which eventually became VPMMA. A select few Veterans and Mentors connected to try to concept, pairing a Veteran seeking a career in Project Management with an experienced PM. The results were immediate and VPMMA was born.
The goal for VPMMA is to leverage the generous project management community to find Mentors willing to volunteer time to benefit Veterans, Servicemembers and Military Spouses. In short order, the support was overwhelming. Mentors from across the United States stepped up to serve those who have served us. Now is your turn to join us and give back some of your time to help a Veteran, Servicemember and Military Spouse.
