The Associate Director of Relinquishments at an animal rescue is a highly dedicated and compassionate individual with a deep love for animals. They oversee the intake process for animals entering the rescue, working closely with owners who are surrendering their pets due to various reasons.
Their role involves assessing the needs and well-being of each animal, providing support and resources to owners in difficult situations, and ensuring a smooth transition for the animal into the rescue's care.
Duties
- Check inbox for incoming relinquishment applications
- Communicate with team members regarding animals being surrendered
- Provide resources to people who might be looking to surrender
This position is very important as it helps us ensure animals come back to rescue as well as helps us take owner surrenders preventing them from ending up in shelters. It is important to be kind as people are going through a hard time.
