Volunteer to be a support group facilitator for children 3+ and their families whose lives have been changed by a death or a divorce. Our volunteer team consist of compassionate facilitators who lead groups through a 9-session curriculum. Facilitators learn how to manage a safe space to help people heal!
Each volunteer completes a volunteer interview/screening, attends a 4-hour training, and must pass a background check. Group facilitators are paired with another facilitator when leading the groups. The groups are 9-sessions, bi-weekly from 6:30-7:30 pm. The volunteer team meets 30 min before and after the group to prepare and debrief the session.
Divorce support group is on Thursdays and Grief Support Groups are on Monday evenings. Volunteers can choose to assist with our virtual adult group opportunities as well.
