Our Senior Companion Program, a part of AmeriCorps, the federal agency for national service and volunteerism, connects volunteers aged 55 and older with older adults in our community to serve as a friend and companion. Volunteers assist with daily living tasks and help to keep seniors independent longer and provide respite to family caregivers. Activities can include running occasional errands, staying engaged in enjoyable activities at home or in the community.
