ORGANIZATION: Curebound



Curebound's mission is to mobilize San Diego to accelerate cures for cancer in our lifetime. Their signature spring event, Padres Pedal the Cause, brings together all of San Diego's diverse communities with one vision: cures in our lifetime. Attendees ride, run, walk, and spin in honor of the people in their lives who have been impacted by cancer and turn their passion into fundraising to accelerate research with the power to save lives.

Since 2013, thousands of survivors, fighters, family and friends, teams, sponsors and volunteers have joined together and continue to give 100%. With every mile, they are closer to cures.

Volunteer will help out with the Kids Challenge/Kids Zone, cheering on participants, and filling in as needed to ensure the event runs smoothly.

Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes

Attire: Athletic wear. A Padres Pedal the Cause volunteer shirt will be assigned upon registration. This opportunity takes place outdoors with little or no shade so volunteers should wear sun protection such as sunscreen and a hat.

Bring: Water. There will be a designed volunteer station with additional beverages and snacks.

Physical Requirements: This project is able to provide chairs while cheering for individuals with physical limitations. The space where this project takes place is wheelchair accessible.

Waiver: All volunteers must agree to Curebound's Volunteer Waiver.
