Volunteer Photographer
This is an task-based volunteer role. The West End Museum is seeking a Volunteer Photographer to support the museum in Photographing events and programs and assist in several special projects. The Volunteer Photographer will be expected to capture images for promotional use in support of our mission to bring awareness to the Museum.
Key expectations include:
- Strong self-motivated work ethic, flexibility, and availability to commit 10 hours/month to Photography for WEM.
- Volunteer Photographers must have access to their own camera. (Phones do not meet this requirement)
- Knows how to edit and prepare images for professional use.
- Strong Communication skills
- Ability to access and use the internet
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and other volunteers
- Ability to attend museum events and programs in-person.

About the West End Museum:
We are a Boston neighborhood museum seeking volunteers interested in the history and culture of the City of Boston, its immigrant era, and urban renewal. The Museum is a 501(c)3 charitable non-profit organization dedicated to the collection, preservation, and interpretation of the history and culture of the West End of Boston.
You can expect to find a casual workplace of friendly Volunteers and Staff who are welcoming and eager to engage with the public. A previous knowledge of the neighborhood is not required, but an appreciation of its historical significance is helpful.
The Museum is conveniently located close to the MBTA Science Park/West End Station and North Station. Bowdoin Station is about a 10-minute walk.
