Volunteer with SOS Sexual Violence Services
SOS Sexual Violence Services of Saint Paul Ramsey County Public Health is seeking new volunteers to staff our 24-hour crisis line, provide medical advocacy at Ramsey County Hospitals, and facilitate support groups and trainings in the community. Our next 40 hour Volunteer Training is scheduled to begin in May. If interested, please complete the volunteer application and reach out with any questions:

*SOS compensates volunteers with a $25 stipend per on-call shift and $50 stipend per medical outreach

Join SOS for our Spring 40-Hour Sexual Assault Advocacy Training!
This training will be run as a hybrid training, including pre-recorded sessions to be completed individually and live training sessions.
Pre-recorded content will include recorded training sessions, readings, and engagement quizzes. This content will be available to be completed starting on March 15th.
In person sessions will take place in St Paul and run from April 8th through April 19th.
Tuesday, April 8th: 6pm-9pm
Thursday, April 10th: 6pm-9pm
Saturday, April 12th: 9am-3pm
Tuesday, April 15th: 6pm-9pm
Thursday, April 17th: 6pm-9pm
Saturday, April 19th: 9am-3pm
The 40-hour volunteer training meets state requirements to work or volunteer as a sexual assault advocate in Minnesota. This free and extensive training will cover foundational knowledge and skills regarding sexual violence including counseling skills, anti-oppressive frameworks, and legal advocacy.

SOS services are to be developed and progress in alignment with the lived experiences of sexual violence victims/survivors and by the most marginalized communities. SOS responds to the harm of sexual violence by providing:
- 24/7 Crisis intervention
- 24/7 Advocacy and support
- 24/7 Medical outreach and advocacy
- 24/7 Information and referral
- 24/7 Phone counseling
- Consultation
- Support groups for survivors and family
- Assistance with legal resources
- Trainings for professionals from a variety of field
