Recruiting Organization: Peace Economy Project
Overview:The Peace Economy Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for peace, economic justice, and the redirection of military spending to social and environmental needs, is seeking a talented and creative Graphic Design Volunteer. This role is ideal for someone passionate about using their design skills to make a positive impact, helping to visually communicate our mission and engage our audience across various platforms.
Responsibilities:- Design Creation: Develop visually compelling graphics, infographics, and other design elements for use on our website, social media channels, newsletters, and print materials.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure that all designs are consistent with the Peace Economy Project's brand identity, enhancing our organization's visibility and recognition.
- Collaborative Projects: Work closely with the communications and advocacy teams to conceptualize and execute design projects that support our campaigns, events, and fundraising efforts.
- Visual Storytelling: Use graphic design to tell impactful stories and present complex information about peace economics, military spending, and social justice issues in an accessible and engaging manner.
- Feedback and Revision: Be open to feedback and able to make revisions as needed, ensuring that final designs effectively meet project goals and audience needs.
- Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) or similar tools.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design skills, including layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
- Creativity and a keen eye for aesthetics, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, engaging visual content.
- Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- A passion for the mission of the Peace Economy Project and a desire to contribute to social change through design.
- Experience in web design, video editing, or animation is a plus but not required.
This is a flexible, remote volunteer position requiring approximately 5-10 hours per week. The specific hours can be adjusted to fit the volunteer's schedule, but a commitment to timely communication and meeting project deadlines is essential.
Location:As this is a remote position, volunteers can be based anywhere with reliable internet access.
