Therapy Dogs for Hospice Patients
ORGANIZATION: Compassus Hospice
Please visit the new page to apply.
Any pet owners will agree that the presence of a dog will warm the heart and inspire the spirit.
Compassus Hospice is seeking certified and insured Pet Therapy Dogs to join our volunteer team.
Volunteers, along with their furry friends, would be fostering meaningful connections with end-of-life patients in the Northshore, LA area. The ideal volunteer is patient, compassionate, and has a heart for the elderly and dying. Volunteers will be trained to visit hospice patients.
For the protection of our patients, all pets MUST be certified and insured through an approved pet therapy certifying organization, such as Pet Partners, Therapy Dogs International, AKC Therapy Dog Program and Alliance of Therapy Dogs.
Please reach out to Heidi to schedule a phone interview. (Text 985-312-3845, call 985-639-8000, or email Heidi.Magrath@Compassus.com.)
