Alzheimer's Awareness Champions help raise awareness, provide basic information and connect people to services provided by the Alzheimer's Association.
This is an outreach position that assists with health fairs and events around Polk County.
Select events that fit your schedule. Events typically last 2-5 hours and may involve standing and light lifting (5 lbs).

Description
Leading Through Experience! You've gained a lifetime of experience. Now is the time to put your skills and talents to good use by volunteering through RSVP. RSVP provides opportunities for people 55 and over to make a difference in their community through volunteer service. RSVP volunteers contribute anywhere from a few to over forty hours a week, serving through non-profit, faith-based, and governmental agencies to help meet critical community needs. RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. RSVP matches the personal interests and skills of volunteers with opportunities to help solve community problems and offers supplemental accident insurance while on duty, and on-the-job training from the agency or organization where volunteers are placed.
