Volunteer in the garden and help our new neighbors feel welcome! The New Arrivals Institute assists refugees and immigrants from all over the world to become self-sufficient and US Citizens through education. In their on-site community garden, they grow vegetables, herbs, and flowers. Volunteers are needed to help with weeding, watering, preparing garden beds, possibly planting and general garden maintenance. Wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. Bring garden gloves if you have them or there are some available that day.
