Our hospice volunteers may serve in a multitude of ways, including offering patient companionship (such as reading a book, engaging in conversation, actively listening by the bedside, playing card games, singing or holding someone's hand). Volunteers may also provide caregiver/family respite, light household work, engage in arts/crafts activity, and assist the hospice team with special events such as memorial services for our hospice patients and families. Kindred Hospice of Seattle volunteers drive to visit and offer support to hospice patients and families.

Services are provided by a medically directed team of volunteers and professionals who respect and respond to the unique difference of each individual.
