Volunteer Expert - Google Ads

Overview:

We are currently seeking experienced Google Ads experts to volunteer their time and expertise to help us enhance our online visibility and reach a wider audience. As a volunteer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our marketing efforts by optimizing our Google Ads set up in order to launch search campaigns. These campaigns will support The Museum in attracting visitors, promoting events, and raising awareness about our mission and programs. This is a volunteer position and will require around 10 hours/ month.

Responsibilities:

  • Account Set up - The Museum has a Google Ads account with drafted campaigns and ad groups. In order to launch our campaigns we need assistance with conversion tracking using the Google Tag installed on our website.
  • Google Tag - WEM uses Google Tag manager to manage our Google Tags. The volunteer will have to figure out how to trigger the tag when tracking clicks on specific links/buttons on our website.
  • Creating Valid Conversion Actions - In order to launch and run our campaigns we need valid conversion actions to be tracked with our Google Tag. The volunteer expert will assist WEM in creating valid conversion tracking actions.
  • Campaign Optimization - Once our campaigns are launched and ads are running, the Volunteer will be responsible for suggesting changes to the campaign to optimize conversions, and maximize reach.
  • Keywords and Ad Groups - In order to run the most effective campaigns, keywords and ad groups and audience segmentation must be fine tuned. The Volunteer will be responsible for suggesting tweaks to these elements in order to optimize campaign performance.

Expectations:

  • Expertise - We are seeking a volunteer expert for this task because we are not able to troubleshoot the issues ourselves. Therefore, an advanced understanding of Google Ads, Google Tag, Conversions Tracking, and Search Campaigns is required.
  • Tasks - The first assignment for the volunteer will be to solve the conversion tracking issue and get campaigns launched. Once that has happened, other Google Ads tasks will be assigned as they arise.
  • Commitment - This Volunteer will be expected to assist with Google Ads related issues as needed, as it fits in their schedule. This Volunteer Position does not require set hours but does require timely resolution of issues.
