Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated Volunteer Xcode and Objective-C Developer to join our team. This volunteer role is essential for developing and enhancing our iOS applications, contributing to our digital outreach efforts, and supporting our educational programs. As an Xcode and Objective-C Developer, you will play a pivotal role in creating user-friendly, impactful applications that facilitate engagement with our community, students, and supporters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications for the Community School of the Arts Foundation using Xcode and Objective-C.
- Collaborate with our IT team and program directors to identify app requirements and integrate feedback into app design and functionality.
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Implement robust security measures and maintain data privacy standards.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to app performance or user experience.
- Keep updated on the latest industry trends in iOS development and suggest improvements to ensure our apps remain relevant and user-friendly.
Qualifications:
- Strong proficiency in Xcode and Objective-C, with a solid understanding of the iOS development ecosystem.
- Experience in iOS app development, including UI design, Apple’s design principles, app architecture, and deployment.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with a remote team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to take initiative.
- A passion for the arts and a commitment to promoting arts education.
- Ability to volunteer remotely and commit to a mutually agreed-upon schedule.
