KEEN Chicago provides free sports and recreational programs for youth with disabilities. Our sessions are non-competitive and designed to allow for an experience and safe space otherwise not accessible to some of our youth.

We have a traditional sports program in the gym as well as programming in areas such as bowling, pickleball, dance, and yoga. On this program date, we will be offering soccer. Volunteers are needed on-site to assist with check-in, making sure athletes have name tags, and providing assistance and support to our Athletes who may need extra help in order to participate in the activities. Volunteers will be paired 1:1 with Athletes when necessary.

KEEN serves individuals with such diverse disabilities as autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and various developmental and intellectual disabilities. KEEN's mission is to foster the self-esteem, confidence, skills and talents of our athletes through non-competitive activities, allowing young people facing even the most significant challenges to meet their individual goals.
