ORGANIZATION: SURVIVORS ALLIANCE FOR GROWTH AND EMPLOYMENT

  • 5 people are interested

Survivors Alliance for Growth and Employment (SAGE) was founded to help female survivors of human trafficking and sexual trauma to regain their financial and emotional independence through employment. At SAGE we provide those involved in our program with paid jobs in a trauma-informed workplace, on-the-job training, one-on-one mentorship, and case management. We help women make personal goals that will prepare them for long-term success in the workplace. Our goal is to help more women reclaim control over their lives and build a brighter future for themselves.

  • Mentors and mentees are matched based on a variety of factors including similarity in interests, life experiences, or personality.
  • Mentors provide support on a personal level to a survivor of trafficking, with support from the SAGE organization.
  • Time commitment for this position is at mentor's discretion, with strong consideration for the mentee's needs and well-being.
  • Mentors receive training on how to provide support in an appropriate manner, and how to identify and handle instances when other forms of assistance may be needed.

Thank you for your interest.

Mission Statement

Centered in God’s love for His children, we provide employment and supportive services to female survivors of human trafficking and sexual trauma so that each woman can achieve emotional and financial independence.

Description

SAGE disrupts the cycle of shame for survivors of human trafficking and sexual assault by directly addressing the symptoms of PTSD in a workplace setting.
