San Diego EarthFest is a free Earth Day celebration presented by Vegan Food Popup that features over 100 sustainable food, produce, and service vendors as well as environmental, conservation, and animal rescue groups. Sustainability is Sexy will have Waste Station Warriors at the event to educate the community about proper waste sorting and diversion. It is a great opportunity to learn and share important environmental information.
Volunteers will assist with zero-waste event efforts including educating attendees and sorting and weighing waste to divert recycling and organics from our local landfills.
Opportunity Requirements & Important Notes
Attire: Comfortable, closed-toe shoes. This opportunity takes place outdoors with little or no shade so volunteers should wear sun protection such as sunscreen and a hat.
Bring: Water and snacks
Physical Requirements: There is a small amount of physicality required for a portion of the tasks at this event. Seated positions are also available for some volunteers. The space where this project takes place is wheelchair accessible.

Photos: Volunteers may take photos during the event. Volunteers may also be in event photos.

Sustainability is Sexy has in person volunteer opportunities for various events and projects throughout the year with the majority of our events taking place during earth month (April) and the 4th quarter (holidays). We also have ongoing virtual volunteer opportunities to assist with ongoing internal projects like social media, fundraising, etc.
