We are looking for passionate individuals to come and join our exciting team in India!

Being a volunteer at Kalkeri Sangeet Vidyalaya is an incredibly rewarding experience and a unique opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and their families here in Kalkeri.

KSV students come from a rural background with rare opportunities to develop their creative skills. Our Community Arts Volunteer's priority is to encourage the children to realise their potential and improve their well-being through projects revolving around different kinds of cultural activities: creative arts, music, dance, drama, film, photography and other performing arts.

As a Community Arts Volunteer, you will be coordinating and implementing project-based initiatives, liaising with the Heads of Academic and Performing Arts, our local teachers and other volunteers. You will also be actively involved with arts-based activities and working directly with children through our Clubs and After-School programs.

You will have significant freedom to share your passion for art and education, while receiving training and support throughout your stay at KSV.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Art classes to students aged 6 to 16
• Organize art activities for the children's Clubs and After-School program
• Arouse the children's creative and artistic sense

Requirements:

• Minimum commitment of 1 year
• Previous experience or Art degree - desirable
• Strong creative skills
• Interest in art and willingness to share your knowledge
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience with children
• Self-starter
• Strong interest in community projects, education and child development
