Are you a skilled photographer or videographer looking for a meaningful project in the great outdoors?
The Young Men's Ultimate Weekend (YMUW), a transformative wilderness rite of passage for teenage boys and young men aged 13-20, is seeking talented individuals to document our upcoming event on June 19-22, 2025.
Founded by Dr. Mark Schillinger, YMUW has hosted over 50 initiation events, guiding more than 3,500 young men through a challenging and empowering mentoring weekend that fosters confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and leadership skills. For one unforgettable weekend, we step away from the distractions of modern life-no phones, no screens-just raw, real experiences in nature.
Opportunity for Photographers & Videographers:
We invite photographers and videographers to capture the essence of this empowering wilderness event. Your artistic skills will play a crucial role in documenting the challenges, achievements, and memorable moments of teenagers as they embark on their transformative journey in the outdoors.
What to Expect:
Access to unique and inspiring moments in a distraction-free wilderness setting
Opportunities to shoot powerful, raw, and emotional transformations in nature
Collaborate with a dedicated team of volunteers and mentors
Showcase your creative talents while contributing to a meaningful youth development cause
Join for a single day or the entire camping weekend, based on your availability
