We need a head of operations to understand the overall needs of the organization, to connect the dots between various teams, and to be results-oriented. You will help teams meet overall goals, ensure work plans are in place with objectives and timelines, identify bottlenecks or blockers, and help provide solutions. You should have background in Latin American socio-economic development and understand B-Corp principles, SROI analysis, and Triple Bottom Line sustainability. You will help manage a team of volunteers and help build and maintain relationships with partners across private, public, and non-profit sectors.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and systems to enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Coordinate with team leaders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Oversee administrative functions including financial and legal matters.
  • Collaborate with leads to develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment by promoting open communication and teamwork.
  • Feel comfortable leading and managing a team of volunteers. Support recruiting efforts.
  • Serve as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and providing support as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Have or currently studying to obtain a Bachelor's degree or experience in business administration, management, international development, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Proven experience in a leadership role.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
  • Experience working in Colombia or familiarity with the local context is highly desirable.
