Responsibilities:
● Develop a comprehensive grant acquisition strategy aligned with the organization's
goals and objectives.
● Identify and prioritize potential funding opportunities from government agencies,
foundations, corporations, and other relevant sources.
● Lead the development and writing of clear, compelling, and persuasive grant
proposals and applications.
● Work with program managers and the CEO to gather information necessary for grant
submissions.
● Ensure all proposals meet the requirements and guidelines set forth by each funding
source.
● Manage and mentor a team of grant writers, providing guidance, support, and
constructive feedback.
● Foster a collaborative and goal-oriented environment that encourages creativity and
innovation in the grant writing process.
● Oversee the workload distribution, ensuring deadlines are met, and projects are
progressing effectively.
● Conduct in-depth research to identify new grant opportunities and potential funding
sources.
● Stay up-to-date with grant-related trends, policies, and best practices to optimize the
organization's chances of success.
● Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with funding agencies, foundations, and
other grant-giving institutions.
● Attend networking events and conferences to expand the organization's network and
explore partnership opportunities.
● Oversee post-award grant management, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to
funders.
● Ensure compliance with all grant requirements and regulations throughout the grant
lifecycle.
● Collaborate with finance and program teams to develop budgets and financial reports
for grant applications and manage budgetary aspects of grants.
Requirements:
● Strong understanding of grant application processes and fundraising strategies.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
● Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
● Proficiency in grant-related software and research tools.
● Demonstrated commitment to the organization's mission and values.
