Job Description:

As a Communications Intern at ATRH, you will play a vital role in amplifying our programs and resources for transgender individuals. You will work closely with our communications team to develop and implement strategies to effectively communicate our mission to our social media following, including the transgender community, donors, volunteers, and the general public.

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in the creation and scheduling of content for social media platforms.

2. Draft engaging and informative captions and newsletters.

3. Monitor social media channels and engage with our audience by responding to comments and messages.

4. Conduct research on relevant topics and trends in the transgender community to inform content creation.

5. Assist in organizing and promoting events, campaigns, and fundraising initiatives.

6. Collaborate with team members to develop multimedia content such as videos, graphics, and infographics.

7. Provide general administrative support to the communications team as needed.

Qualifications:

- Passion for and commitment to advocating for transgender rights and issues.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency in social media platforms and experience managing organizational accounts.

- Excellent research skills with the ability to gather and analyze information from various sources.

- Creative thinking and the ability to generate engaging content ideas.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

- Familiarity with Canvas and CapCut is a plus.

- Previous experience in communications, marketing, or related fields is preferred but not required.
