STAIR-Annapolis, Start The Adventure In Reading, is a twice-weekly, AFTER SCHOOL literacy tutoring program for Anne Arundel County Public School first and second grade students reading below grade level. Tutors work one-on-one with a student for an hour-long session, and we offer our volunteers the flexibility to choose their level of commitment: one day per week, two days per week, or as a substitute on an as-needed basis. Stair-Annapolis has a site at Four Season Elementary in Gambrills, Severn Elementary and Van Bokkelen Elementary in Severn.

Please contact volunteer_coordinator@stairannapolis.org for more information. We will offer a short 45 minute infomration session in April and throught this summer to learn more about our program. There will also be a required one-and a half hour curriculum training following the information session that will be scheduled at various dates beginning in August.
