About IRONHAWK JUNIORS TRIATHLON CLUB

Location:

5006 CASS ST APT 2, OMAHA, NE 68132, US

Mission Statement

Ironhawk Juniors Triathlon Club strives to engage the youth of our community in physical fitness, to create a positive from a negative, and to always be kind. Triathlon inspires our youth to get moving and accomplish what seems impossible. Ironhawk Junior Triathlon Club makes it a priority to be an ethnically, economically and physically diverse youth organization.

Description

We are an all volunteer, grassroots organization dedicated to instilling the love of sport in girls age 8-14 by teaching them the fundamentals of triathlon. We conduct weekly lessons in swimming, biking and running, and provide whatever equipment a girl may not have, including bikes and helmets. All of this culminates in the most awesome triathlon ever! While our goal is to encourage activity, we are really all about honoring oneself and others, teamwork, and being kind. Since 2018, we have reached over 700 juniors, have given away over 40 swimsuits, 700+ sets of goggles, 150 bikes, 300 bike helmets, 100 pairs of running shoes, and 700+ free USAT memberships.
