Mission of HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre:

HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre is dedicated to providing emotional, educational, and compassionate support to those affected by cancer. We strive to create a nurturing community where individuals and families can find solace, strength, and guidance throughout their journey.

Role Description:

As a Marketing and Communication Volunteer at HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre, you will play a vital role in helping us reach out to our community, raise awareness about our services, and support our fundraising efforts. Your creativity, communication skills, and passion for making a difference will be invaluable in spreading our message of hope and support.

Responsibilities:

1. Content Creation: Generate compelling content for social media platforms, newsletters, website updates, and promotional materials. This includes writing blog posts, creating graphics, and developing engaging multimedia content.

2. Social Media Management: Manage HopeSpring's social media accounts (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) by scheduling posts, responding to messages and comments, and keeping our online community informed and engaged.

3. Marketing Campaigns: Assist in the planning, execution, and evaluation of marketing campaigns and initiatives aimed at raising awareness about HopeSpring's programs and services.

4. Graphic Design: Design visually appealing materials such as flyers, posters, and digital graphics to support marketing and promotional efforts.

5. Public Relations: Help cultivate positive relationships with media outlets, influencers, and community partners to enhance HopeSpring's visibility and reach.

6. Event Support: Provide assistance during fundraising events, workshops, and community outreach activities by promoting events, coordinating logistics, and engaging with attendees.

7. Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns and communication efforts using tools like Google Analytics and social media insights. Prepare regular reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

• Passion for supporting individuals and families affected by cancer.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Canva) is desirable but not required.
• Experience with social media platforms and content management systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to commit to a flexible volunteer schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends.
