- Companionship: Spend quality time with patients, engaging in conversation, playing games, or simply being a supportive presence.
- Emotional Support: Provide a listening ear and offer empathy and compassion to patients and their families during challenging times.
- Caregiver Breaks: Your companionship to our in-home patients can give the gift of time to caregivers to run errands or grab a much-needed cup of coffee with a friend, knowing their loved one is in good hands while they’re gone.
- Caregiver Support: Some volunteers enjoy doing light household chores, yard work, or running errands for caregivers.
- Vigil Support: Provide a comforting presence during a patient's final hours. We will train you so you feel prepared and supported by the hospice team.
- Specialized Skills: If you have specialized skills such as music therapy, art therapy, or pet therapy, you can use them to bring joy to patients.

Description
We are privileged to provide end-of-life care and are dedicated to doing "Whatever It takes, when it matters most." We are rigorous in the ongoing evaluation of our performance and work to improve our process and results every day. We are committed to acting with integrity and having a positive impact on everyone with whom we come in contact. Using a holistic approach, Serenity Palliative Care and Hospice provides physical, emotional and spiritual support to patients (and their families) experiencing end-of-life transition. We believe that no one should die alone, afraid or in pain. Pain management is our main priority and alternative therapies are offered as a complementary means of treating pain.
