Losing a loved one can have a powerful impact on a child. They often have a difficult time identifying their emotions and expressing grief.
Residential Hospice has developed our exclusive Blue Elephant Project, which includes a box with a blue elephant plushie and items children and their adults can use to process the loss of a loved one in healthy ways.
How You Can Help:
We are in search of volunteers who will deliver Blue Elephant Project kits to local children in need of support after losing a loved one. Here are some details:
- It would take about an hour per week of your time
- Packages are 13" x 14" x 8" (guessing) and weigh 2 lbs. each
- This is an unpaid, volunteer position
- We are unable to reimburse for gasoline expenses
If you are willing to help deliver Blue Elephant Project kits to children in your area, please contact us at: (248) 530-6236
