Social Call provides opportunities for social engagement by matching volunteers and adults 60+ for weekly one-on-one visits by phone or video conference. Visits usually last 30-45 minutes.
Each Social Call match has its own dynamic. For example, some volunteers serve as listening ears while others lead conversations with thoughtful questions and story-sharing. Individuals who are empathetic, patient, reliable, and open-minded would make exceptional fits for the Social Call volunteer role.
You'll receive training and ongoing support from Social Call staff. We ask that volunteers commit to their match for at least six months, though longer commitments are encouraged and welcomed.
Social Call is a Front Porch Community Services program. There is no cost to volunteer or participate.
