POSITION PURPOSE

Create a healing experience for patients and support for staff by aiding on the outpatient department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Acknowledging and greeting patients, visitors, and teammates with a smile
  • Providing patients and visitors with items to make them more comfortable
  • Stocking supplies
  • Assisting in the cleaning and stocking department reception area
  • Disinfecting high touch areas
  • Answering the phone, taking messages and other desk tasks
  • Providing patients with activity items
  • Visiting with patients
  • Answering call lights
  • Assisting with discharges (wheelchair transport)
  • Other duties as needed

  • 05:00 AM to 09:00 AM

Many services are offered at the hospital, including cardiology, orthopedic surgery, oncology, neurosurgery, general surgery, gastroenterology, stroke care, obstetrics and gynecology, low dose diagnostic imaging, and a comprehensive breast center. The hospital is also home to the only highest level trauma center in DuPage County and the highest level neonatal intensive care services.
