Soul Tea Foundation is seeking volunteer leaders to join our impactful Board of Directors. Our organization is driven by the belief that every person is worthy and deserves an opportunity. Soul Tea Foundation focuses on removing the barriers that keep individuals from believing in themselves and reaching their full potential. Many individuals merely struggle to exist and endure their current circumstances. We exist to help them move from that place, to a place where they are developing, succeeding, and flourishing in every aspect of their life.

Our mission is to empower opportunity challenged and financially disadvantaged individuals to move beyond merely surviving to a position of thriving. Examples of an opportunity challenged individual are: Homeless. Ex-offender. Domestic abuse survivor. Sex trafficking victim. Highschool dropout. Differently-abled. Military PTSD.

We are proud to provide training and mentorship through our Soul Tea Success Path Development Program. We are looking to partner with professionals that are willing to contribute their skills, expertise, values, and qualities to guide Soul Tea Foundation closer to our mission by providing management advice on strategic planning.

Expectations: Board members are actively involved in organizational governance and are expected to attend monthly board meetings. We meet the last Friday of every month via Zoom at noon. Each Board Member serves on at least one committee. Willingness to solicit sponsorships for fundraising events through personal and professional network. This is a working Board and active engagement is required. Full description will be provided with application.

Skills: The Board needs a variety of skills, with a strong emphasis on candidates with accounting, human resources, legal, strategic planning, project management, curiculum writing, event coordination and/or fundraising.

Highly Desired: Leaders in the Fort Worth/ Tarrant County area who are connected through networking groups, other community foundations, educational institutions, and philanthropy groups.

Soul Tea Foundation is accepting applications, and those interested in serving can email ajbruner05@gmail.com to request an application.
