Recruiting Organization: Musical Instrument Museum
The Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) is a non-profit organization that enriches the world by collecting, preserving, and making accessible a wide variety of musical instruments and performance videos from every country in the world. We offer our guests a welcoming and fun experience, incomparable interactive technology, dynamic programming, and exceptional musical performances. MIM also fosters appreciation of diverse cultures around the globe by showing that we all innovate, adapt, and learn from each other to create music--the language of the soul.
Volunteer team members play an integral role in ensuring that MIM achieves its mission of fostering an appreciation for the incredible musical similarities and unique differences of diverse cultures throughout the world. Student volunteers have the opportunity to develop professional skills within a museum setting and join a growing community of individuals who appreciate music, education, museums, and the arts.
As a whole, student volunteers are needed in a variety of capacities, including at Guest Service, in the Galleries, and at special events. Student volunteers must commit one full month of service, with a minimum of two shifts per month.
