General Maintenance volunteers serve to complete maintenance and upkeep of Blue Ridge Parkway facilities and grounds.
Major duties:
- Perform minor repairs on items such as signs, milepost markers, and fences
- Clean and/or paint various surfaces and structures
- Perform regular campground/picnic area maintenance tasks as needed
- Remove brush, debris, and litter from the sides of hte motorroad, within designated overlooks, parkway cemeteries, and parking areas
- Utilize safety procedures and follow established safety rules and regulations
- use and assure proper fit of required safety equipment and clothing
