Role Description:
As a Program Assistant Volunteer at HopeSpring Cancer Support Centre, you will play a vital role in supporting the various programs and services offered to individuals and families impacted by cancer. Your dedication and enthusiasm will contribute directly to creating a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for our community members. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.
Responsibilities:
- Program Support: Assist in the coordination and facilitation of various programs and workshops offered by HopeSpring, including support groups, educational sessions, wellness activities, and special events.
- Participant Engagement: Welcome participants, assist with registration, and provide support during program activities, ensuring everyone feels valued and supported throughout their time at HopeSpring.
- Administrative Tasks: Help with administrative duties such as data entry, filing, preparing program materials, and maintaining program supplies to ensure efficient operation of the center.
- Outreach and Promotion: Assist in promoting HopeSpring's programs and services within the community through outreach initiatives, social media, and other communication channels.
- Supportive Environment: Foster a warm, welcoming, and inclusive environment where individuals affected by cancer feel safe to share their experiences and receive support from peers and volunteers.

Time Commitment:

Requirements:
- Passion for supporting individuals and families affected by cancer, with empathy and sensitivity towards their needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with participants, volunteers, and staff
